Start Where You Are: Again and Again
Often intentions are set like goals especially at the New Year! There can be pressure to make sweeping changes, throwing ourselves out the window in an attempt to be better. Towards the close of January is a great time to get real about what is important and how our yoga practice can support us. No matter where we want to go we must start exactly where we are, each time we step on the mat and each day. Whatever type of intention you are setting, mindfulness can help cope with the mental chatter that often defeats our good intentions.
Building the physical practice with a strong foundation of healthy alignment we will flow into a sweaty state, releasing some toxins along the way. After deep twists we will take the time to find gratitude for what we have and friendliness towards who we are. Following our active practice we will settle into a restorative pose to relax into the unknown. Creating a san kalpa you can actively work with and appreciating yourself along the way, you will leave open to whatever the rest of 2020 brings.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels.
